How Does the Suzuki Method Work?
Dr. Shinichi Suzuki designed his method to teach children violin the same way they learn how to speak, by listening and then repeating what they hear many many times.When a child says "mama" or "dadda" for the first time, they are highly praised and encouraged to repeat those words many many times. Learning to play the violin is very similar. The student will listen to a song many times and then copy what they hear on the violin. It is important to maintain an ecouraging environment for the child to keep him excited about playing the violin.
What Will I Need to Get Started?
You will need several things before you get started with weekly lessons:

- Suzuki Book 1 CD
- Tuner/Metronome
- Notebook
